Show how you LIVE UNITED this holiday season

Amber Lovett

Each year, United Way’s Women in Philanthropy membership group collects holiday gifts for foster youth. Once again this year, we will be partnering with Sacramento County’s Gifts From The Heart to ensure children in Sacramento County’s Child Protective Services receive gifts during the holiday season. We will also be partnering with Linkage to Education to provide gifts stockings to emancipated foster youth who are working to continue their education.

In addition to Women in Philanthropy members, we are encouraging all United Way volunteers and donors to donate gifts. We still need more than 140 gifts! These gifts are going to youth in our community that do not have families of their own during this holiday season. Some of the items on their wish lists might just blow  you away. Many of the youth want basic necessities, like rolling duffle bags or clothing — things that you and I might have taken for granted when we were young.

Click on the link below to sign up for gifts. We will need all gifts delivered to United Way’s offices (office hours between 8 a.m.- 4:45 p.m) Monday-Friday (10389 Old Placerville Road, Sacramento, CA 95827) by 4:45pm on Monday, December 7.
