Holidays already?

Amber Lovett

I can’t believe October is almost over! (Especially since it feels like we just started September.) The last few months have been a whirlwind here at United Way and now the holidays, and holiday planning, are quickly approaching. August signaled the arrival of campaign materials, loaned executives and numerous tours and speakers trainings with our certified non-profit agencies. September zoomed by with the CSECC kick-off at the Capitol and the United Way kick-off at the Convention Center the next day. And, in October, we successfully launched a new Women in Philanthropy event complete with a new design, theme, location, etc.

We’re now starting to work on plans for the Women in Philanthropy holiday event, a LIVE UNITED holiday project, coordinating Gifts from the Heart holiday gifts for children in the CPS system and planning for United Way’s holiday event, which honors our certified non-profit agencies. The holiday are definitely my favorite time of year, and I’m so excited to see what the next couple of months bring here at United Way. It’s a great time to say thank you to all of our partners and reach and help those in need during this holiday season!
