Having FUN & meeting AWESOME people!
Emerging Leaders Blog Series
It’s hard to believe that I have been involved in some way with United Way California Capital Region for the past three years now. How time flies when you are having fun! Whether it is Chairing or Co-Chairing State Street’s annual Giving Campaign, coordinating my office’s always fun Toilet Paper Drive or being sponsored for the Women in Philanthropy program, I feel so blessed to be involved in such a great organization. By being involved in all of these programs through United Way I have had the chance to meet some amazing people.
I was lucky enough to be approached to become a Steering Committee member for the Emerging Leaders Program and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Obviously I said yes! Why wouldn’t I want to be involved in such a great program?! I am so excited for what is to come in the future with the Emerging Leaders Program. I can’t wait to meet other young professionals in the Sacramento area and encourage them to become more involved with our community through volunteer events we will be coordinating, working on our leadership skills through workshops, and networking with each other through fun and inventive events.
If ANY of the four items listed below are intriguing to you, make sure you stay tuned for upcoming information on events & opportunities the Emerging Leaders Program will be bringing to you.
