Wells Fargo Volunteers Paint Relaxation Room at DDSO

Article

9 volunteers from Wells Fargo Merchant Services came out to Developmental Disabilities Service Organization (DDSO) to help paint the meditation and relaxation room at the Transition for Tomorrow site. DDSO provides training that supports adults with developmental disabilities to realize their life choices in the areas of personal growth, employment, learning , community involvement, and the arts.

The room will be used by clients on this busy program site for relaxation and stretching, as many clients don’t often have the opportunity to be out of a wheelchair or other equipment used very often. The space was transformed from “highlighter yellow” to a relaxing blue that was selected by program participants. The best part of the day was the interaction between program participants and the volunteers before and during the project. The appreciation of staff and participants at DDSO was felt by volunteers and they are already talking about coming out for another project. In addition to getting the job done, volunteers had fun and connected more as a team by the end of the day. The pictures speak volumes, take a look! Thank you to all volunteers from Wells Fargo Merchant Services for making time to make a difference and thank you to DDSO for being “hosts with the most” for our volunteers.
