Volunteers Needed for Tax Season
Help spread the word or help out at a VITA tax site!

Article

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, or VITA program, brings back millions of dollars each year though the Earned Income Tax Credit for working families in the Sacramento region. We need your support!

The VITA program is a free tax assistance service for low- and moderate-income families in our community. We can only do this with the help of our volunteers. Without volunteer help many of our families would have to pay for the tax assistance they receive, reducing the amount of the refunds they have earned.

Volunteer and give back to your community!

• No prior tax law experience necessary
• Help your community receive the tax refunds they deserve free of charge
• Each prepared tax return can raise a working family’s income up to $5,000!
• Great resume building experience
• Flexible schedule and locations

Multiple ways to volunteer available:
