As a huge supporter of United Way California Capital Region and countless nonprofits across the region, Campbell’s Soup was truly a role model for community giving. Year after year, the Campbell Soup United Way Committee provided a jammed packed campaign full of fun fundraising events and educational opportunities for employees to learn more about the needs in our local community. During campaign time, Campbell’s has done it all – from hosting nonprofit agency fairs, to taco fundraisers, bake sales, car wash fundraisers and silent auctions. The energy during campaign time was always contagious in the Sacramento plant!

Outside of their annual United Way campaign, Campbell’s employees regularly volunteered their time with local nonprofits and provided financial and in-kind support to hundreds of nonprofits. The amount of lives that have been touched as a result of the generosity of Campbell’s employees is immeasurable.

When the news broke that the Sacramento plant will be closing in July 2013, UWCRR and local nonprofits were devastated. Our hearts go out to the employees and their families at Campbell’s Soup. Thank you to Campbell Soup and their generous employees for continually showing year after year what it means to LIVE UNITED – you have left a legacy that will impact our community for years to come.
