Pam Dinsmore, has served as The Sacramento Bee’s Community Affairs Director since 2009. In her job she represents The Bee in the community and serves as The Bee’s media relations contact. Her most successful projects include “The Bee’s Book of Dreams,” which raised more than $250,000 in 2013. With those funds, The Bee was able to support a number of non-profits in the community like the United Way, all of the local area food banks, Race for the Arts, WEAVE, St. John’s Shelter, Sierra Forever Families, Reading Partners and Loaves and Fishes – just to name a few.

In conjunction with the newsroom, she manages The Bee Book Club and the High School Journalism Collaborative. Before her move to Community Affairs, Pam was the Assistant Managing Editor for Features; and the Assistant Managing Editor for News. During her time in Features, the staff was awarded a Missouri Lifestyle Award and was named one of the Top 20 Features sections in the country.
