Juanita Garcia is the Executive Director of the GenCorp Foundation. GenCorp is the parent company of Aerojet Rocketdyne, a technology-based manufacturer of aerospace and defense products and systems with a real estate business segment.

Juanita was named Director of the GenCorp Foundation in December 1999, when GenCorp moved its corporate headquarters from Akron, Ohio to Sacramento.

The GenCorp Foundation’s major area of grantmaking is education with an emphasis in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).  While the GenCorp Foundation makes grants in the Sacramento region, it also makes grants in 14 communities across the country where the company has a business presence.  Since 2000, the GenCorp Foundation has contributed more than $10 million in those communities.

Juanita holds a B.A. degree in Journalism from San Jose State University, and is a graduate of the Leadership Sacramento Class of 2000. She is currently a member of the board of directors of Exponent Philanthropy, formerly the Association of Small Foundations, a 2,500+ member national association dedicated to furthering philanthropy. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts Heart of Central California.
