Eli Lilly Volunteers with Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services: mobile food distribution

Article

A group of volunteers from Eli Lilly came together to help with the mobile food distribution in a neighborhood in South Oak Park on Wednesday, October 24th. The group met first at the main building of Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services for a tour of the new facilities to get a taste of some of the other programs the organization provides for the community. After the tour, volunteers headed out into the field to help set-up the “community festival” ambiance of the mobile food distribution site and be trained in how to distribute the food to clients. Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services is dedicated to helping feed, clothe, educate and mentor families in need at no charge, while providing hope and support in our community. If you haven’t been out to volunteer at a mobile food bank distribution site, get your group together and plan to share your time. It’s an extremely rewarding experience. Contact us if we can help plan your day of action!

Thank you to Eli Lilly volunteers for taking time out of their day to give back to those who need it most in our communities. We are incredibly grateful for volunteers like you. Thank you also to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services team of dedicated staff who is always appreciative of volunteers like the group from Eli Lilly.
