Panelist, Meet the Funders: Gain a Better Understanding on How to Customize Your Grant Proposal
Bree Cahill is the Executive Director of SVP Sacramento, a nonprofit providing unrestricted multi-year financial and capacity-building support to educationally focused nonprofits in the Sacramento region. Bree has her M.A. in Special Education from ASU and her B.A. in Economics from Oberlin College. She served in the Teach For America Phoenix Corp working with disadvantaged elementary students with a range of learning and emotional disabilities and as a Supervising Consultant in the private education industry designing and monitoring programs for students with disabilities.
As Executive Director of SVP Sacramento, Bree has overseen the release of their Inaugural Impact Report, with Investees reporting more than 160,000 Sacramento area students served in 2013. She has also played an integral role onboarding College Track into the Sacramento region. Bree looks forward to SVP’s next grants cycle, scheduled to run late Fall 2014, and to continuing to expand SVP’s partnership to increase available funding. She is passionate about improving area education for disadvantaged youth through engaged philanthropy.
In her spare time, Bree enjoys working in the community. She is currently participating in Leadership Sacramento Class of 2014, a program of the Metro Chamber.
