Senior Vice President, Resource Development
Outstanding opportunity for a seasoned, results-oriented professional to join the leadership team of one of the country’s most innovative, donor-centric United Ways. Reporting directly to our CEO, the Senior VP is responsible for producing measurable results for all aspects of fundraising—workplace campaigns, direct-to-donor initiatives and online.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or marketing, and 7-10 years of nonprofit fundraising or service sector sales management experience, both hands-on and as manager of a staff of energetic fundraising/sales professionals. Ideally at least 3-4 years of that experience will have been with an organization whose core business is workplace fundraising or that has a long and deep history of partnering with United Way on workplace fundraising. He or she will have experience developing and implementing fundraising/sales campaigns. Especially helpful would be experience developing and implementing affinity groups and special giving initiatives—particularly planned giving—and experience working with volunteer boards of directors and staffing board committees.
